“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” — Mahatma Gandhi

What if you could learn hard things easier and faster

That’s what Ultralearning by Scott H. Young is about
Not another feel-good book
A sharp guide to mastering what others struggle with for years

Forget those outdated methods
The ones that feel like an olive mortadella sandwich.
You deserve better
Your brain does too

No shortcuts
No fluff

Just clear ideas you can use
Learn better
Learn faster
Learn for life

In the digital world, where everything changes overnight
Learning how to learn is your edge

These are the 9 rules that matter
The ones that actually work

1. Metalearning: Learn to learn

Before diving in, pause. What resources are out there? How do the best learners tackle this? What exactly do you need to know? Spend 10% of your time on this.

2. Stop multitasking

Set focused learning sessions. Block out distractions. Your brain needs intensity to grow without it, you’re stuck in neutral.

3. Practice, it’s real

Theory alone won’t cut it. If you’re learning to speak, speak. If you’re learning to code, build something. Train under conditions that feel like the real thing.

4. Target your weak spots

What’s hardest for you? That’s exactly where to focus.

5. Don’t just review explain

Reading isn’t enough. Test yourself constantly. Can you explain what you learned yesterday? Last week? Last month? If not, it didn’t stick.

6. Smart feedback: Look for the truth, not praise

Not all feedback is helpful, but none is worse than none. Look for what’s not working, and fix it.

7. Make it stick

Use spaced repetition. Practice beyond the minimum. Turn facts into procedures. The goal isn’t to remember for a test, it’s to remember for life.

There’s an excellent book that goes deep into this topic.

I’ll share it with you in another post.

Not today. Let’s keep going.

8. Teach it

If you can’t explain it, go back and study it again.

9. Experiment

Feeling stuck? Try new methods. Switch tools. Step out of the usual path. Real learning happens when you test, tweak, and find what works best for you.

🎯 Remember

Ultralearning isn’t easy
But it works

And no, it’s not like those dusty methods you’ve been dragging around
This is more like freshly sliced jamón ibérico
With a glass of good red wine
Simple, rich, unforgettable

It’s for people who want real progress
Not just pretty notes and another YouTube rabbit hole

You’re in charge
You build the path
You go as far as you want

Use it
And you’ll be amazed at how fast things change
